On November 17, people in over 50 cities across the nation will take part in the National Days of Action Against Wage Theft, a crime wave that every year robs millions of workers out of billions of dollars they’ve worked for but never seen! Join our group of workers, faith leaders, and community allies as we stand in solidarity with Houston workers who have experienced labor abuses and demand justice. Our stops include:
Þ Press conference at HIWJ to call our City Officials, HPD, and DA to action on ending wage theft in Houston.
Þ Visits to unscrupulous employers who have stolen workers’ wages & demanding payment.
Þ Lunch & Reflection on the impacts of wage theft in Houston and how to take action to end it.
Lunch & Transportation will be provided. To learn more & to reserve a spot, click here or contact the Houston Interfaith Worker Justice Center at 713-862-8222.
